Cloud architecture
Design, migration and operation of workloads on AWS and Azure.
A managed cloud provider that keeps everything in your account: infrastructure as code, monitoring and a monthly cost review.
What you get
What you get
A design you can read, code you can run, and bills you can explain.
- An architecture with a written design: the parts, why each is there, and what it costs to run.
- Infrastructure as code in your repository, so the environment can be rebuilt from the files.
- Migration with a cut-over plan and a way back, rehearsed before the day.
- Monitoring, alerts and a monthly cost report, with the changes we recommend ranked by saving and by risk.
- Everything in your account, not ours: billing, root access and the data stay yours.
How we work
Three habits, the same for every job
-
Step 1: Scope in writing
A short call, then a one-page scope: what we will deliver, what we will not, the price and the date.
-
Step 2: Work you can see
Drafts, test builds or the plan as it forms. Questions go to one address and get answered.
-
Step 3: Hand over everything
Files, source, access and a written summary. Nothing you would need later stays with us.
Who does the work
Operations experience behind every job
Coop Security is run by Jacob, whose background is managed cloud operations: a private cloud of 40 customers and about 350 virtual machines, Microsoft public-cloud services delivered to resellers and their customers, and security reporting on Azure tenants as a service.
This service is that operations work, done for you: provisioning and running Azure central workplace servers for about 30 concurrent users, Azure Virtual Desktop, firewall policy, disaster recovery and upgrades, with the documentation written as the work is done rather than afterwards.
Certified on AWS (Solutions Architect Associate, 2022; AI specialty, 2026) and Azure (Administrator Associate, 2024). Based in Canberra; work is done remotely or on site in the ACT and surrounding NSW.
Engagement sizes
Three ways to engage
Each is priced in the scope, with the date beside it.
-
Design and review
Fixed price. A written architecture for a new workload, or a review of an existing one with the changes ranked.
-
Migration
Scoped per workload. Infrastructure as code, a rehearsed cut-over plan and a way back, then hand-over.
-
Operation
Monthly. Monitoring, alerts, patching and the cost report, in your account, with a note each month.
Every price is written into the one-page scope before work starts, GST stated. We say no when we are full.
AWS or Azure?
Either; both are in the background above, Azure most recently. The choice is made in the design from what you already run, where your data has to stay and what your people know.
Do we have to give you our root account?
No. You keep the root or Global Administrator account. We work from a named role with the permissions the scope lists, and that role is yours to remove.
Can you run Azure Virtual Desktop for us?
Yes. Deploying and maintaining it was part of the Tech Data work: host pools, images, scaling plans and the Conditional Access around sign-in, with the monthly cost report showing what the session hosts actually cost.
What does a cost review look like?
A line-by-line read of a month of bills, then a short table: each change, the saving, the risk, and the ones we would skip. You decide which to make.
The other services
Done the same way: a written scope, work you can see, everything handed over.
-
Map packs
Printed site maps, plot plans, field sheets and GPS waypoints, built from one point on the map. -
App design
Native iOS and macOS apps and web apps, from discovery to the App Store. -
Security reports
Configuration and exposure reviews of cloud and on-premise environments, with written findings in priority order.
